Read below what fellow Australian Gunnar owners have to say about their Gunnar CMC's, and the difference it has made to their business.

“Any framer who spends more than two days a week cutting mats, should look at getting a Computerised Matcutter. Our Gunnar CMC is saving me between two to three days labor every week. It would take a lot less time to train someone on the Gunnar than it would teach someone to cut mats on a conventional matcutter.”

- Tony Stocks, Framing to a T, Hallam VIC

"Last year I purchased a Gunnar F1 Hybrid. It was one of the biggest financial decisions I have made for my business to date.. and as such I researched it immensely before making the decision to go with what I personally believe is the BEST on the market.. Now that I have one.. I know my decision was warranted.

I wanted to be able to give the best quality of cut to my customers framing package and not be limited by designing freedom.. and I am confident I can with this CMC. I don't accept flaws in my work.. and I will never be in such a position that just an okay cut is good enough.
I can honestly say I haven't looked back..

The support for my 'pride and joy' is the best I have come across in ANYTHING I have invested in to date. Not to mention the initial training and service. 'Over and above' is not even scratching the surface.

If quality, reliability and the peace of mind you have the support you need and when YOU need it in your equipment, then my vote goes to the F1 Hybrid.. !"

"The purchase of our Gunnar F1 Hybrid CMC has been the best business decision we have made since being in the framing industry, we have 45 franchises Australia wide that we cut mats for and our job has never been easier.

We originally purchased our business in 2007 and included in this sale was a Wizard CMC, we pretty much had nothing but problems with this machine, the biggest issue we found was the lack of technical support, there was only one Wizard technician for all of Australia so I am sure you can imagine what it would have been like when support was needed. The training and ongoing support was pretty much non existent and this placed our business in a very vulnerable position.

We relocated our business to a rural area in Australia and knew that we needed to find a more reliable CMC, hence this is where our research started, we spoke with other framers, researched the internet and came up with the Gunnar, a decision that we have never regretted, if anything I regret not doing it earlier.

We do still have the Wizard as we are busy enough that we need to have two CMC's operating, it is just unfortunate at the moment that we cannot afford to buy another Gunnar given we have only made our first purchase a few months back but as soon as we have the funds we will certainly be getting another Gunnar.

I much prefer operating the Gunnar, I have found the software easy to use, the service and support has been amazing, a couple of days ago I did need to ask for some support in changing the blade depths and the technician spent about an hour with me assisting me with the process until I felt confident.

The quality of the cuts is amazing compared to the Wizard with clean and precise cut outs. The Gunnar has more capabilities and whilst I think it was a couple of thousand dollars more than some other machines we were looking at, that has already been paid off as far as I am concerned, I would have paid another couple of thousand dollars again for this machine as I feel it is a more superior machine to any other."

I have had the Gunnar F1 Hybrid for the past six months and it has been the best investment that I have ever made for my business.

I had been looking at CMC's for the past four years, weighing up the benefits of each machine, also speaking with other Framers at Framing shows, watching demonstrations on each machine.

What I found impressive with the Gunnar F1 Hybrid is there is no need to change the cutting head to do bevelled, reverse bevel and straight cuts from the front or back of the matboard.

I also checked oval/circle openings of the different machines available and found the only machine that left no start/finish point was the Gunnar.

Another great point of the Gunnar is the User Interface as it is bright and so easy to use, compared to other CMC's I looked at. Not to mention the great training, knowledge and support that is made available.

If I knew what I know now I would have purchased the Gunnar 4 years ago.

- Alan Holgate, Main Framers, Monbulk VIC

"The Gunnar 601 is simply the best thing I have ever bought for my business. No other machine is capable of doing what I need from it, and my Gunnar 601 has easily paid for itself in less than 12 months."

- Mark Crandon, Advanced Posters & Prints, Castle Hill NSW

“The second day after installation we were using the GUNNAR matcutter for  all our matcutting. The quality and precision of the machine is exceptional. We well and truly pay for the cost of the machine through savings in wages.”

- Greg Mahoney, Mahoney’s Galleries, Melbourne VIC

"It has been 12 months since we purchased our Gunnar CMC and I would like to say that this machine has been every bit as good as promised. The productivity increases have been outstanding, and there are no limits to what we can do for our customers."

- Greg Malouf, The Art Scene, West Ryde NSW

Gunnar is Swiss for "more profit". I’ve saved over 17% on direct labor costs alone and gained even more freedom from everyday tasks of mat cutting because everyone in the workshop can produce consistent first class results. Even my seven year old cuts perfect mats! Every school holiday my kids come in and produce $1000’s of retail product for small change. Don’t think about it too long and hard….

It’s a no-brainer…. Just work out the finance and I guarantee you will not look back.”

- David Schummy, Fix A Frame, Mt Gravatt, QLD

"Unbelievably accurate… incredibly efficient… fantastic service and support - say no more!"

- Steve Gunther, The Picture Box, Brunswick, VIC

“With our Gunnar 601, we can now achieve three days worth of matcutting in less than a day!

I wouldn't swap it for all the tea in China!”

- John, 44 Frame Factory, Geelong VIC

"Since purchasing the Gunnar, our productivity has increased by 100%."

- Akram Hannaway, A & H Trading, Lakemba NSW

"Prior to purchasing our Gunnar mat cutter, it was fair to say our mat cutting on the manual machine was a "traffic jam" nothing short of "grid lock"."

- Jon Watson, Willoughby Picture Framing, Willoughby NSW

"Before I bought my Gunnar, I worried about selling people multiple opening double mats, because they were time consuming & painful. Now I can offer multiple opening, multiple mats with the click of a button, and with the click of another button I can sell an extra $10 v-groove for an extra 10 seconds of time."

- Andrew Rossides, Papertole Australia, Bexley NSW

"The decision to buy the Gunnar was a major decision for a small business like ours, and we are very pleased to advise that it is without a doubt the best piece of equipment that we have ever bought."

- Sami Sadek, Fast Frame, Bentleigh VIC

"Our Gunnar makes no mistakes, and makes up for all the mistakes I make!"

- George Weiss, Bondi Beach Picture Framing, Bondi Beach NSW

"

"The purchase of the Gunnar has transformed my business. The advances that we have made in the last two years simply would not have been possible without it. Would I buy another one? Absolutely."

- John Suddert, Mat Cutting Company, Mt Eliza VIC

"...it has saved me even more time than I ever anticipated and has enabled me to offer my customers many options that I could not before."

- Ormond Williams, Ormond's Framing, Port Macquarie NSW

"

"The Gunnar is such an integral part of our business that we may well not be able to survive without it. We would not be able to compete in the areas of work that we do, and would not be able to exploit our design abilities. So much more is now an option with our Gunnar".

- Mark Heydon, Creative Framing, Burwood VIC

"

"It is great at helping to economise materials with its accuracy and reliability in providing bulk repetition of units and superior multi aperture window mats."

- Matt Garrett, The Framer's Workshop, Frankston VIC
